Livesey Bros are the UK's leading producers of Exotic Mushrooms.  We are a family run business.  We first started growing Exotic Mushrooms in 1985 and have since expanded Lowerfields Farm to produce a large range of different species of mushrooms all with their own unique flavours and textures.

Maitake Mushrooms are the latest addition to the range of mushrooms produced by Livesey Brothers.  It is widely reported that Maitake Mushrooms have amazing health benefits, particularly when it comes to boosting the immune system.  There have been many scientific studies looking at their uses in fighting cancer. We are not allowed to make such claims ourselves as Trading Standards monitors this and so, therefore, we are completely unable to substantiate or backup the extensive studies and claims that have been made throughout the world, all we can say is that we are the only producers of this exciting mushroom in the UK and it tastes absolutely fantastic.

The family have two additional farms, Yew Tree Farm, (nextdoor to Lowerfields Farm), and Manor Farm at Normanton le Heath just a mile away.  It is on these two farms that we produce our Pedigree Hereford Beef, and Normanton Lamb.
